Olly Glover MP

Metric rather than imperial provides clarity and easy mathematics in comparison. I welcome efforts to increase the use of metric in the UK. In relation to my previous career on the railway, the UK railway is one of the only sectors that still uses the measure of chains. For those not aware, there are 80 chains in a mile. Metres and kilometres are more convenient, not least because they will never involve calculations involving fractions of 1/80th etc. as miles and chains do.
